SERWIZER CONTINUITY MODEL

We take over responsibility by method, and adapt the method to you.

Taking over technical responsibility for a software product requires understanding the product's real condition, finding where the knowledge lives and managing the transition without gaps. That is why we run every takeover through the same four stages: Discovery, Diagnosis, Handover, Continuity. Each stage has a clear aim, a concrete output and a threshold that is crossed with your approval.

The order of the stages is fixed; their content and rhythm take shape around you. The size of the product, the availability of the current team, your industry's requirements and your calendar let us determine together how long each stage takes and how it runs.

Stage 01

Discovery

Aim: To clarify together what we take over, within which boundaries and from whom.

What we do

  • We define the product, the solution area and what they mean for the business together with you.
  • We draw the boundaries of responsibility: which systems are in scope, which interfaces belong to another responsibility, how grey areas will be handled.
  • We identify the stakeholders: business owners, current suppliers, internal teams, infrastructure and security units and, where relevant, your customers.
  • We discuss expectations: service levels, reporting rhythm, decision mechanisms, working model.

Output

Scope and responsibility definition

A written document that sets out what we take over, where the boundaries lie and how the scope will be updated when things change.

What we need from you

Access to the right people and a clear order of priorities.

Stage 02

Diagnosis

Aim: To see the real condition of the product we are taking over and build the handover plan accordingly.

What we do

  • We examine the source code, architecture, data structures and infrastructure.
  • We map the dependencies: third-party components, licenses, external services, integrations, version status.
  • We locate the documentation and the knowledge; we rebuild missing knowledge from code, configuration and system behavior.
  • We grade risks in terms of security, performance, sustainability and compliance.
  • We understand current operating practice: how releases go out, how incidents are handled, who informs whom.

Output

Technical condition report and handover plan

The product's strengths, priority intervention points, medium-term improvement areas and how the handover will be carried out.

We speak openly in diagnosis

We share the condition of the product as it is; this way we take on responsibility under real conditions and set the right priorities together from day one.

Stage 03

Handover

Aim: To transfer responsibility to us without leaving a gap.

What we do

  • We run knowledge transfer in planned, documented sessions. With the current team or supplier where they are available; otherwise working from the code and the system.
  • We take over access, environments, tools and permissions in line with your security policies.
  • We set up the communication lines: how to reach us, how we report to you, what happens in an emergency.
  • We manage an overlapping transition period: for a defined time we work in parallel with the previous owner; at critical moments both teams are ready.
  • We close the handover checklist together with you; the handover is approved when every item is complete.

Output

Handover completion approval

From this moment on, we are responsible for everything within scope.

Stage 04

Continuity

Aim: To operate the product reliably and move it forward.

What we do

  • We operate at the service levels we define together: response and resolution times, availability targets, maintenance windows.
  • We report regularly: incidents, changes, risks, movement in technical debt, progress on the roadmap. The format and frequency follow your management rhythm.
  • We manage the development roadmap: from small improvements to adjacent projects, we prioritize, plan and deliver requests together with you.
  • We keep the documentation alive: every change is recorded in the knowledge base; the product remains fully transferable at any moment.
  • We hold periodic reviews: scope, service levels and priorities are updated together with your needs.

Output

Continuity itself

A working product, predictable operation and an always-current knowledge base.

SHAPED AROUND YOU

We adapt the model to you.

  • 01

    Starting point

You can begin with maintenance and support, a single adjacent project, a post-project handover, a supplier transition or the entire product. Discovery and the handover plan are set up separately for each start.

  • 02

    Scope

We draw the boundaries together; as needs change we expand or narrow them within the same arrangement. A relationship that begins with maintenance today covers the entire product tomorrow, by your decision.

  • 03

    Working model

You can leave the area entirely to us, ask us to work alongside your own team, or have your team face your customer while we carry responsibility behind the scenes.

  • 04

    Tools and processes

We work with your workflow tools, environments, security policies and reporting format. Where something is missing, we bring our own practice and align it with yours.

  • 05

    Service levels

We design response and resolution targets together, according to the product's criticality, hours of use and your industry's requirements. We work in line with the standards of the defense, telecommunications and banking industries.

  • 06

    Commercial model

We set up an arrangement that takes shape together according to the scope of responsibility, the form of continuity and the rhythm of development needs; as needs change, we update it together.

  • 07

    Transferability

We keep everything we take over documented and current, so that you can take it back or hand it to another team at any time. Knowledge is always in your organization's hands.

LET'S START

Is there an area you want us to take over?

The first conversation is a discovery session: we listen to the product and your expectations, and describe concretely how the takeover would take shape for you.
