WHEN SERWIZER?

We have a takeover plan for every starting point.

The decision to hand over technical responsibility is born in different places: a supplier relationship changes, an engineer moves to a new role, a team turns to a new priority, a project completes, a product opens up to customers. Below are the starting points we encounter most often. For each, we describe how we set up the takeover and how we adapt to you; even if your situation doesn't match any of them exactly, the method works with the same flexibility.

The supplier relationship is ending or changing

What it looks like

Response times are getting longer, the people who know the product are leaving the project, every request becomes a new quotation, or the supplier no longer treats this area as a priority. Or perhaps you're looking for a new partner to own the product in the long term.

With Serwizer

We recommend starting the takeover while the supplier is still available; that is when knowledge transfer is most complete. In diagnosis we capture everything that can be obtained from the current supplier in a structured way and derive the rest from the code and the system. During the overlapping transition period the two teams work in parallel; when the supplier leaves, the product continues under our responsibility without interruption. If the supplier has already left, we run the diagnosis directly on the product and rebuild the knowledge. If you wish, we also manage relationships with other suppliers on your behalf.

The person who knows the product best is leaving or changing role

What it looks like

Every question about the product goes to the same person, the documentation depends on that person's knowledge, and they are moving to a new role or leaving the organization.

With Serwizer

We start the takeover while the person is still in the organization and structure the knowledge transfer sessions to turn what is in their head into permanent documentation: the reasoning behind decisions, the history of patches, customer-specific configurations. If the departure has already happened, we rebuild the knowledge from code, logs and system behavior. Once we move into continuity, the knowledge lives in a maintained knowledge base that is always within your organization's reach. If the person stays in the organization, we can also set up an arrangement to work with them.

Your internal team is turning to new priorities

What it looks like

The team that built the product is working on a new platform or project; the existing product remains critical to the business and you're looking for a partner to own it.

With Serwizer

We take over technical responsibility for the existing product and free your team for its new priorities. A product we take over is a fully focused responsibility for us; it is operated with the same care and developed with the same discipline. You define the interface with your internal team: we can work entirely separately, run a joint board for architectural decisions, or co-develop in specific areas. When modernization comes up, we add it to the roadmap by your decision and at your pace.

You deliver the product to your customers

What it looks like

Every new customer brings an installation and customization project; the service levels given to customers demand serious technical capacity; as sales grow, so does the technical commitment.

With Serwizer

We take on technical responsibility for customer-facing projects and support on your behalf; your customer continues to see you. We run release and configuration management across multiple customer installations under a single discipline; every new customer becomes a repeatable process. You choose the working model: your team in front of the customer and us behind, or the project and support with us end to end.

You want to manage technical debt in a planned way

What it looks like

Small changes require large test cycles, releases need long planning, and the team looks for extra assurance before touching certain areas.

With Serwizer

In diagnosis we map the debt as it is: where, how much, which comes first. In continuity we reduce it in measured steps with every release and report on it, so the product is healthier each month than the last and the changes the business needs can be made with confidence. We tune pace and scope to your business calendar: a rapid improvement period or a long, uninterrupted transformation; both run within the same arrangement.

You want a single responsible party where several suppliers work

What it looks like

Integration points fall between several parties, coordination consumes your team's time, and you're looking for a single owner of the whole.

With Serwizer

We become the single responsible party for the whole of the area we define together; integration points are within scope. We manage relationships with other suppliers on your behalf if you wish, or run them together with you. We draw the boundaries of scope together and update them as they change.

The project is complete; you're looking for a permanent owner for the product's next life

What it looks like

The project closed successfully, was accepted, and the project team is moving on to new work. You want to give the responsibility for operating, maintaining and developing the product over the coming years to a permanent partner.

With Serwizer

We take over as the project ends or right after; we complete knowledge transfer while the delivering team is still available. We define and take on the "after" of the project as a responsibility. The handover is planned in line with your project calendar: with the final release, after acceptance, or following a defined stabilization period.

You want to continuously meet audit, compliance and security requirements

What it looks like

You're looking for a permanent arrangement for closing audit findings on time, applying security patches regularly, keeping access records complete and meeting regulatory changes on schedule.

With Serwizer

Working in line with industry standards is the foundation of our service. In diagnosis we establish the compliance status, in handover we set up access and record discipline according to your policies, in continuity we keep the audit trail alive. We manage regulatory development as a priority item on the roadmap; when the audit comes, the answer is ready. We work in line with the requirements of the defense, telecommunications and banking industries.

Systems inherited through an acquisition or merger

What it looks like

A company or business unit has joined your organization and brought its systems with it. An integration plan is being made; in the meantime you want the systems operated safely and understood.

With Serwizer

We take over technical responsibility for the inherited systems for the transition period or permanently. We diagnose the systems, keep them running and provide the knowledge you need for your integration, consolidation or retirement decisions. The scope is reshaped together with you as your integration plan progresses.

LET'S START

If your situation is one of these, or none of them exactly, let's talk.

Every product has a different story. In the first conversation we listen, and describe concretely how the takeover would be adapted to your situation.
